Data Restore System

There is a special data restore system in Secure Disk. This system is used for data protection if the computer turns off, pends or reboots during the process of encryption.

As encryption is a very complicated process taking up a lot of resources we guarantee data security in the majority of cases but not exclusively . In other words, it only minimizes the possibility of data damage or loss. So it's not advisable to rely on the data restoration system alone. It's always better to back up your data and provide an uninterrupted power supply to your computer.

If encryption (or decryption) is interrupted and the restoration system is turned on, the following will happen:

  1. When you boot the computer next time, you'll receive a message about the task interruption and the launch of the restoration system.

  2. If the encryption of the disk is interrupted, it'll have a special note with information about the current situation in the list of disks.

  3. You can't encrypt or decrypt other disks until the interrupted task is continued (you should choose the disk on the "Disks" page and press the "Continue" button).

You don't have to continue the task at once. You may postpone it, if necessary. The disk will function as usual, but its data will be partially encrypted.

Data restoration system is launched only if the encryption or deciphering process is interrupted, but not in the case of a task cancellation.
